What Matters to Us: Adaptability, Ingenuity and Representation in Curriculum

We are so grateful for the strong word of mouth of our Ivy community. It’s truly humbling how many families recommend us -- and encourage new students to join our school family.
When we ask these new families why they choose Ivy Academia, we most often hear these responses. We are:
  1. Small and caring. New Ivy families say their kids got lost in the shuffle in large school districts.
  2. Adaptive and responsive. Ivy changes and evolves fast. Whatever our students need -- we do it! In real time.
  3. Prepared and reliable. Our stable, tuition-free academic track record draws families here. Our small classes, exceptional teachers and rigorous standards-based curriculum prepares students for college and career.
  4. Building amazing futures. Our strong academic track record catapults our Ivy Academia students to go on to amazing colleges and universities.
And once we can safely open Ivy Academia in-person at our beautiful campus in Woodland Hills, we will be in an innovative and inspiring location for years to come.

Ivy’s Curriculum: Multicultural voices in every grade.

  1. Ivy purchased and adopted a brand-new English Arts and English Language Development curriculum in Fall of 2019 -- it's the highest rated, most advanced, most rigorous, most expensive.
  2. We chose this curriculum for its multiple socio-economic groups, ethnicities, cultures, and languages. We must have representative stories of all walks of life for our students from Kindergarten through High School.
  3. We have what neighboring schools and districts have - and more. We will not let our many English Language Learners miss a step!
  4. Our new curriculum is extremely relevant as a representation of our Ivy student body and community, the Black Lives Matter movement, social justice efforts in this country, and for cultural awareness around the globe. At Ivy, we’re showing our commitment to inclusivity and equity by choosing this curriculum.
  5. We’re not scrambling to change. We are not answering any legislative requirements. We believe representation in curriculum matters.
  6. We ensure our students see and hear multiple perspectives. We want every Ivy student to see themselves in their schoolwork and in our broader community.
  7. We are all this and more. Join us for an innovative, multicultural, adaptive 2020/2021 school year
